Case Study
July 2019
Location: Hailsham, Sussex - Wealden District Council.
Issue: Our client wanted to secure permission for the maximum number of bedrooms for a high quality care home development. A previous planning application submitted by another party had already been withdrawn over concerns raised regarding air quality.
How we helped: To overcome the issues raised in the previous withdrawn application, we sourced and contracted advice from expert and highly recommended transport and air quality consultants. Using this expert advice, we helped our client to apply for the optimum number of bedrooms for their care home.
We then advised our client on the best planning strategy which lowered their risk and enabled a quick submission. We successfully secured planning permission in October 2018 as well as securing the reserved matters permission in February 2019.
Finally, we were successful in discharging the planning conditions in July 2019, allowing construction work to begin on this premium care home development.
