DLBP secures approval for new LEAP24 charging station in Wallasey

DLBP is extremely pleased to have secured full planning permission, on behalf of LEAP24, for a new eight bay electric vehicle charging station on a vacant brownfield site in Wallasey, near Liverpool.

Following DLBP undertaking an initial review of the site, we devised a planning strategy to maximise its development potential and implemented that strategy by leading on the preparation of a full planning application.  This required us to work collaboratively with TSG Group and Pulsar Transport Planning to design a layout that meet LEAP24’s operational standards whilst being acceptable in planning terms.

As part of the application, DLBP put forward strong planning arguments to the Council justifying why the scheme would be acceptable in this location and emphasising the long-term economic benefits to residents and business and the environmental benefits locally and more widely.

DLBP then worked closely with the Council to ensure a positive outcome was received, as well as minimising the number of restrictive planning conditions attached to the permission.  DLBP is now working with LEAP24 to discharge those conditions to enable work to start on site.  We very much look forward to seeing the scheme fully operational soon.
