DLBP secures approval for new wildflower planting at the Royal Hospital Chelsea

DLBP is delighted to have assisted our long-standing client, the Royal Hospital Chelsea, in securing approval for new wildflower planting to the South Grounds of its site.

This application sought approval to replace existing areas of gravel between the South Grounds and South Terrace with new wildflower planting.  The planting will soften the transition between those parts of the Royal Hospital Chelsea site which provide a beautiful backdrop to numerous important events, including Salon Privé London, Longines Global Champions Tour, The Treasure House Fair, and, of course, the Chelsea Flower Show.  The planting will also improve biodiversity on site by introducing a new habitat for wildlife.

DLBP represented the Royal Hospital Chelsea throughout the entire application process.  This required us to work closely with the grounds team and architect to devise the plans, as well as preparing all necessary supporting documents and forms and liaising closely with the Council to ensure a positive decision within the statutory eight week timeframe.

We are very pleased to have secured this approval and look forward to continuing assisting the Royal Hospital Chelsea with the management of its estate and grounds.
